  • Parish Pastoral Council meeting to be held on Wednesday 23rd March at 8pm in the Parish House in Castlemaine. Items to be discussed include ongoing maintenance, issues & planning for the future. Anyone with any suggestions etc. please inform one of the members of the group. Pastoral Council members: Fr. Danny Broderick, Caroline McCarthy, Anne-Marie Griffin, JR Deane, Aileen Griffin, Katherine O’Connor & PJ Ryan.
  • A Synod of Bishops will take place in Rome in October 2023.A Listening Session for the Killorglin Pastoral Area will take place on Wednesday, March 23rd in the Tom O’Donnell Centre (Day Care Centre), Market Street, Killorglin at 8:00 p.m.
  • Keel Community Hall will be rocking to the country sounds of Eddie Lee and The Paudie Coffey Band on Saturday 2nd April at a ‘Keel Goes Country’ fundraising concert, to assist with funding for recent and ongoing renovations to the hall.  Music and dancing start at 8pm on Saturday the 2nd April, refreshments will be available throughout the evening, together with a prize raffle. Tickets are €10 each.
  • Castlemaine Offertory Collection: €387.00  Míle Buíochas.
  • The Legion of Mary: Annual Consecration to Our Lady on Sunday 27th March at 3 p.m. in St. Mary’s Cathedral Killarney. Everyone is very welcome to come and join them and consecrate themselves to the Mother of God. The ceremony will include the Rosary, consecration, and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.  The ceremony will also be available on webcam for those who cannot travel to Killarney.
  • Census Enumerators will be calling to every household over the coming weeks delivering and collecting Census forms.  Each Enumerator will carry Identification documents, will wear a high visibility jacket with Census Enumerator written on the back of it.  There is no reason for any Enumerator to enter any person’s house.
  • Irish Cancer Society – Daffodil Day is next Friday, March 25th. Just a reminder that the usual daffodil sellers will be calling door to door during the week.  Your contributions will be very much appreciated.
  • Ukraine Appeal: there will be a second collection on 26th/27th March. Please give as generously as you can.
  • Diocese of Kerry Ministry of Lay Pastoral Co-Ordinators information evening online on Tuesday 22nd March at 8pm https://www.dioceseofkerry.ie/
  • Recovery Haven Kerry Killorglin Community Outreach Service reopens on Thursday, March 24th with an information coffee morning at the Community Care Centre on Market Street from 10.30am to 1pm. It is hoped that full support services will resume twice a month thereafter.
